Our Trip to Israel...

Our trip to Israel in 30 pictures...

Our trip to Israel was to visit my sister who was teaching English in Rahat...

But to start, we spent a few days in Jerusalem where she first met us...

And instead of focusing on the sites, we focused on the food....

Although we did see the Western Wall....

And walked around the charming city center....

Yet it was the food tour in Mahane Yehuda Market that was the highlight of Jerusalem...

Where we ate all different types of food...

And saw some pretty impressive graffiti art.... 

And to top off all the eating we did in this city, we ended it with an incredible tasting menu at Machneyuda restaurant...

But then it was time to visit my sister's school in Rahat...

Where her students took a liking to my arms and ego (much to my wife's dismay)...

And also had the best falafel of the trip at this shack on the side of the road...

Which was only followed up by a traditional Bedouin dinner in Rahat....

Where we ate a lot of food...

And I mean a lot....

And then after spending the night in Beersheva (where we saw this goat crossing on our run)...

We headed to the Negev Desert...

Where we stayed at the Beeresheet hotel that had Ibexes roaming the grounds....

And an amazing pool which is where we spent most of our time...

Although we did go for a hike....

On the edge of a pretty incredible crater...

And also caught an amazing sunset....

But then it was time to head to Tel Aviv...

Where food was of course a focus... 

And the eating started in Jaffa...

So we then decided to walk four miles on the beach to walk off our lunch...

Only on the next day to meet our friends Richie and Ravit....

For more food in the Carmel Market....

And then again, more time at the beach...

Before doing Shabbat at Ravit's family's house....

Then sadly it came to our last day where we spent the entire day on the beach...

Which capped off an amazing trip in a great country!
