Dubai Post 37: A Nice Change of Pace
|Ozair and I at Wild Wadi over looking Burj Al Arab.|
It has now been over a month since I started my adventure in Dubai and I finally had a weekend to relax. Since I have gotten here, I have been constantly on the move either traveling for work, for pleasure or touring around the UAE. This was the first weekend where I had no real plans and it was fantastic.
I spent most of the weekend in the scorching sun. On Friday I laid out by the pool before heading to an Australian surf bar to meet a few coworkers. On Saturday I went to the famous Wild Wadi waterpark in the morning and then laid out on the beach for a few hours. I also managed to work out, make dinner and do laundry to have some sort of resemblance of a normal life.

Relaxing in the sun and grabbing a few drinks at night was exactly what I needed to recharge my batteries for June. I have multiple trips planned to Saudi Arabia, a trip to Nepal and a holiday in Ras Al Khaimah, therefore catching up on sleep and rest was a must. Looking out into the future, I doubt I get a weekend like this again until I am home in Chicago.
P.S. A congrats to all of my co-workers who completed the CFA exam on Saturday. All the hard work and dedication will most surely pay off in the long run.
